Kanpur: The NIA court of Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow has declared Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Kamarzaman alias Kamaruddin guilty. In Kanpur, there has been a case of threatening to blow up many temples, including the Ganesh temple. The NIA court on Tuesday convicted the terrorist and sentenced him to life imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of 50 thousand rupees on the accused. Qamaruddin was arrested on September 12, 2018 from Shivnagar in Chakri. Special Judge Vivekananda Sharan Tripathi has said that the order should convey a direct message. In the court, NI special counsel MK Singh told that a case was registered in this case by ATS inspector Harinder Yadav on September 12, 2018 at the ATS police station. It stated that Kamrzaman, a resident of Assam’s Hojai region, was associated with the banned terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen in 2017. After that he got involved in anti-national activities.

The lawyer said that based on the information, the ATS conducted an investigation. ATS found that Kamerzman was engaged in anti-national activities while living in Chakri area of ​​Kanpur. He was planning to do something big. On this, the ATS arrested Kamerzaman from Shiv Nagar area of ​​Kanpur on 12 September 2018. A mobile phone was recovered from him. On 28 September 2018, the investigation of the case was handed over from ATS to NIA.

Threat to blow up three big temples

Hizb terrorist Kamarzaman aka Dr Harira aka Kamaruddin lived in Ganesh Nagar of Chakri. He had plotted to blow up three temples. After Qamaruddin’s arrest, maps, photos and videos of Sutrakhana Ganesh Mandir, JK Mandir and Sai Mandir were recovered from his mobile. The case was investigated by the NIA. The NIA had accused Kamerzaman and two of his associates in the case.

While working for Hizbul Mujahideen, Qamaruddin started receiving funds from Kashmir. It was revealed several times that funding was coming into his account from Kashmir.
