“Tiger King” star james garretson Was arrested in Florida this week… and he claims the bust may have something to do with his involvement in the Netflix series the foreigner Case.
James was arrested in Marathon on Monday night… and police in the Florida Keys claim he was driving with a suspended driver’s license.
According to the arrest report obtained by TMZ, officers say they saw James driving into the Marathon and recognized him from a previous police encounter. Police say they checked his license in the database and found it was suspended.
Police say they saw James driving again that evening and stopped him. Police say James provided a Florida identification card – not a driver’s license – and they asked him to get out of his truck before handcuffing him.
Police say James has a previous conviction for driving with a suspended license and they took him to the jail in Key West for booking. Police say James was issued a criminal citation and given a court date next month.
James, who worked with Joe Exotic before becoming an FBI informant to help convict Joe, tells TMZ … when police pulled him over an officer told him, “I know that You are there. I’ve been watching you for a while.”
JG says police didn’t elaborate on the alleged comment and they didn’t tell him why he was stopped or why he was arrested… at least until he got to the jail an hour away in Key West. Reached… and they feel there was some motive behind his arrest.
James told Us that he thinks the expose may be related to his association with the ‘Tiger King’ series and all the drama that came with his performance in the Netflix hit.
He posed for a mug shot in jail and said he got out of jail for $546.
