11.15 Saratoga – Arthur’s Ride wins the Gold Cup
The Whitney Stakes went the way of Arthur’s ride and gave him his first Grade One win and he will be looking to continue that in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. Junior Alvarado has won two from two with the son of Tapit and he will be looking to maintain a 100% partnership here and will outdo everyone else.
Tapit Tris was once considered the Kentucky Derby favorite but never lived up to expectations, although he regained the lead when dropping in grade at Monmouth. Highland Falls was behind on the day and could return to old form and go close here.

Brighton is somewhat of a specialist track so the format of the course is very important. O.J. lifestyle of He showed his love for the track when winning by two and a quarter lengths at Brighton last time out. He has gained 5lb for that win and should do well here too.
Shaw Park Scott steps in for Dixon, who won on the seaside course last time out when he pulled ahead late on. Mikkel Mortensen retains the ride, having extracted a good performance from him the previous day. The Ten Commitments Has been a perfect example of consistency and finished third at Epsom last time out. The handicapper has not compromised his mark given his consistency and will certainly take his race if he shows his recent form.
