The Congress is also contesting in Delhi, but the TMC seems unlikely to challenge the BJP in the national capital. TMC leader Kunal Ghosh while talking to a news agency regarding the Delhi Assembly elections said, ‘We will hope that the Aam Aadmi Party government returns there and the BJP is defeated. People of Delhi will defeat BJP. If TMC wants AAP to win in Delhi, it means it wants Congress to lose.
Let us tell you that Congress is currently leading the India Bloc, but many parties including AAP, RJD in the alliance have expressed their desire that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should lead the India Bloc. Now Congress and AAP are facing each other in assembly elections and are also attacking each other. Congress has fielded Sandeep Dixit, son of former Chief Minister Sheila Dixit, against Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi seat. Congress has given ticket to Alka Lamba against Chief Minister Atishi from Kalkaji. Congress leader and spokesperson Arvind Kejriwal and you are constantly besieged on the issues of liquor scam, CM House, cleaning of Yamuna, air pollution, roads, water, health and education. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party is alleging that Congress is playing the role of BJP’s B team in Delhi.

Voting will be held in a single phase in the national capital on February 5 and the results will be declared on February 8. Here in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party contested the Lok Sabha elections with the Congress, but in Delhi it is supporting the Aam Aadmi Party. SP national president and Kanauj MP Akhilesh Yadav clarified his party’s stand and said that we will support you and share the stage with you. He also said that the SP will support only that party which is capable of defeating the BJP. This means that SP is also doubting the capability of Congress. Thus, Akhilesh has increased the political anxiety of Congress by calling Kejriwal ‘friends forever’. Thus, the position of the contender for unity in the India block is before the people of the country.
