Mumbai. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday made a demand that could give Sharad Pawar and the Congress sleepless nights. Uddhav asserted that instead of adopting a formula related to the party winning the most seats in the assembly elections, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) should announce the face of the chief minister before the elections. Uddhav Thackeray said that he would support any such candidate announced by the MVA. MVA’s ally Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar did not comment on the contentious issue, but Sharad Pawar emphasized the need for a one-point agenda to improve conditions in the state and change the government. Emphasized.

On the other hand, the Congress also advocated focusing on ousting the BJP-led Mahawati alliance from power in Maharashtra. Congress state unit chief Nana Patole said the leaders of the Indian alliance will decide who will be the chief minister. Addressing MVA party workers here, Thackeray said that if the Lok Sabha elections were held to protect democracy and the Constitution, the assembly elections were a fight to save Maharashtra’s self-respect. Elections to Maharashtra’s 288-member assembly are likely to be held in October or November. Pawar has stressed the need to adopt a single-point agenda to change the government in Maharashtra if the situation in the state is to improve.

What did Sharad Pawar say?
Assembly elections in Maharashtra are likely to be held in October or November. The MVA includes Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress. Sharad Pawan asserted that the Chief Ministerial candidate should be decided first and not based on the logic of the party winning the most seats in the elections. Uddhav Thackeray said that his experience during the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was that whoever had the numbers would get the Chief Minister’s post. He termed this policy as harmful as one party would try to defeat the other party’s candidate to maintain the upper hand in its coalition. “Decide (the face of the chief minister) first and then move forward but don’t follow this policy (whoever gets the most seats will get the chief minister’s post),” Thackeray said.

Will support declared candidate – Udhu
Uddhav Thackeray added that Uddhav Thackeray would support any candidate announced by the Congress and NCP (SP) for the post of MVA Chief Minister. I am not fighting for myself but for the rights of Maharashtra. Thackeray asked the MVA workers to rise above personal interests and fight to protect the pride and interest of Maharashtra. He also urged him to become the ‘ambassador’ of the opposition alliance in the state. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Day address, advocated a secular civil code in the country, Thackeray asked if he had left Hindutva.
