Mirapur assembly constituency in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh came into existence in 2012 after the delimitation of Morna seat. Earlier its maximum area was known as Morna assembly seat.
Chandan Chauhan reached Parliament.
Chandan Chauhan had won the Mirapur seat in the 2022 assembly elections and reached the assembly. But in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he contested from Bijnor. Mirapur Assembly falls in Bijnor Lok Sabha Constituency. With the blessings of the people, Chandan Chauhan won the Lok Sabha election and reached the Parliament.
Earlier, Qadir Rana also became a Member of Assembly.
The current by-election is being held on the Mirapur seat which fell vacant due to his resignation. In 2007, Kadir Rana won the election from Morena i.e. present Mirapur seat and reached the Assembly. In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, he tried his luck from Muzaffarnagar and with the blessings of the people, he also reached the Parliament.
Sanjay Chauhan became MLA in 1996, MP in 2009.
In 1996, Gujjar leader Sanjay Chauhan won from Morna seat on SP ticket. He contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Bijnor seat. After winning the election, he also represented the people in the Parliament.

In 1985, Syed-ul-Zama won the election from Morna seat on a Congress ticket. After that, in the year 1999, the people of Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha constituency blessed him and he also became an MLA. Ameer Alam Khan became MLA from Morna seat in 1989. He later won the election from Kairana seat and reached the Parliament. In 2002, Rajpal Saini became MLA from Morna on BSP ticket. Later he was sent to the Rajya Sabha.
Mirapur is a major religious area of the district.
The Mirapur area bordering Bijnor has several major madrassas of the Muslim community, including Shaktiratha, Panchmukhi Mandir, Sambhaveera, Sheetal Mata Mandir.
