A district court in Kushambi, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for raping a newborn girl. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of 10 thousand rupees on the criminal. The convicted offender has been identified as Ayodhya (30). He did this heinous incident on July 21, 2023.

Additional Government Advocate Criminal Shashank Khare said Special Judge (POCSO Act) Ashok Kumar Srivastava has passed the sentence in the case. The incident took place in a village under Sandipanghat police station area of ​​Kushambi district. At that time, the girl was only four months old. His mother left him in the courtyard of the house at 2 pm and went to defecate.

At that time a native of Ayodhya picked him up. He then made her the object of his lust. He ran away leaving the girl in critical condition on the bed. When the mother returned home, she found her daughter in critical condition. He was rushed to the hospital. After that, on the complaint of the mother, a case was registered against the accused in Sandipan Ghat police station.

The police arrested the accused. After hearing the case, Special Judge Srivastava found Ayodhya guilty of the crime. He was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment with hard labor and a fine of 10,000 rupees. The government lawyer said that if the fine is not paid, the criminal will be sentenced to another 6 months imprisonment.

Similarly, in another case of rape, a court in Faridabad, Haryana has sentenced the culprit to 20 years in prison. The court has also imposed a fine of 70 thousand rupees. He had sexually assaulted a five-year-old girl in 2021. After a hearing that lasted for three years, Additional Sessions Judge Hemraj Mittal announced the sentence.

Public prosecutor Ravinder Gupta said that on the basis of strong evidence and witnesses, the court had on Wednesday convicted accused Kapil, a resident of Ballabgarh. According to the police, on June 8, 2021, an FIR was registered under the relevant provisions of the POCSO Act at the Mahila police station in Ballabgarh. The incident took place on June 7, 2021 when the girl was alone at home.

Her father had gone to fix the street light problem, while she sat with her mother and neighbors. At that time, accused Kapil took the girl in his car on the pretext of giving her a cake. He then raped her in the car. When the girl returned home, she was bleeding and told the whole story to her parents, police said.
