At present, there is a lot of talk in the country about the Vande Bharat train. This train of Indian Railways is the fastest running train in the country. Vande Bharat is the top premium train of the country. Apart from this, Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains are considered among the premium trains of the country. After coming to power at the Center in 2014, the PM Modi government launched the Vande Bharat project. In 2019, the first Vande Bharat train ran from Delhi to Varanasi. Currently 61 Vande Bharat trains are running in the country. Vande Bharat trains are twenty times better than Rajdhani and Shatabdi in terms of both speed and fare.

But, today we are telling you about a train with a slightly different history. The fare of this train is not only 10-20 rupees more than Vande Bharat fare but also one and a half times more. Actually, we are talking about IRCTC Tejas Express running between Delhi and Lucknow. The number of this train is 28502. It has two types, chair car and executive car. It completes the journey from Delhi to Lucknow in just 6:35 hours. Whereas Vande Bharat takes 20 minutes less time to complete this journey. It reaches from Delhi to Delhi in just 6:15 hours.

Vande Bharat train also has CC and EC categories. CC class fare in this train is Rs.1245. EC class fare is Rs.2400. Now coming to IRCTC Tejas Express. Although this train takes slightly longer than Vande Bharat, the fare is higher than Vande Bharat. In this, CC class fare from Delhi to Lucknow is Rs 1470. In this, the EC class fare is Rs 2594. This means that the fare for both classes of this train is about Rs 200 more than Vande Bharat.

It is a matter of the century.
Shatabdi Express is also a train like Vande Bharat and Tejas. This train also covers the journey from Delhi to Lucknow in just 6:45 minutes. That means it takes about 30 minutes more time than Vande Bharat. It is also a premium train of Indian Railways. In this, CC class fare is Rs 1240 and EC fare is Rs 1945. This means that there is a difference of more than Rs 600 in the EC class fare of Shatabdi and Tejas for the same distance.

Why the difference in rent?
Actually, IRCTC Tejas is a private train. It is operated by IRCTC. Fair rule of Indian Railways does not apply to it. Its base fare from Delhi to Lucknow is Rs 1400. In addition, dynamic charge is added to it. As demand for tickets increases, fares tend to rise. For example, the demand for tickets on this train increased before Diwali on October 31. Due to which the rent also increased.

According to the IRCT website, on October 30, the CC class fare has increased to Rs 2205 in this train. That is, about 1000 thousand rupees more than the Vande Bharat train. This Rs 2205 includes ticket fare Rs 1400, dynamic charge Rs 700 and GST Rs 105. Apart from the premium, it is also quite expensive in terms of base fare. The base fare from Delhi to Lucknow in Vande Bharat is Rs 965. Along with this, Rs 40 reservation, Rs 45 super fast, Rs 53 GST and Rs 142 catering charges have also been added. Even in terms of base fare, Tejas Vande is one and a half times more expensive than in India.
