In Rajasthan, Congress MLA Rafiq Khan has claimed that he was attacked. Rafiq Khan, Congress MLA from Adarsh Nagar in Jaipur, says a man punched him outside his residence. The MLA’s supporters then caught hold of the accused and thrashed him. The police have arrested the accused, whose name is Vikas Jakhar. He accused the MLA of harassing his wife.
A video of this fight is also going viral on social media. It is seen that Rafiq Khan is having an argument with the accused. Then suddenly a scuffle starts between the two. After that the supporters of Rafiq Khan started beating the accused. The MLA called the police and reported the attack. After which the police took the accused into custody. The entire matter is being investigated.
Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that Vikas Jakhar has been an assistant commandant in the paramilitary force. Shaurya Chakra is about to be won by Vikas Sadar. In the year 2021, Vikas took VRS from CRPF after being injured in a paper leak. Vikas then sat on a sit-in in his village in Jhunjhunu, currently police are interrogating Vikas. The police have taken the accused Vikas Jakhar into custody.
Sadar police station officer Balbir Kaswan said that Vikas Jakhar, a former assistant commandant of CRPF and a resident of Jhunjhunu, reached the house of the Adarsh Nagar MLA in Jaipur on Thursday morning. He said that Jakhar had a heated argument with the MLA on some issue and Jakhar grabbed the MLA’s neck. Before Jakhar could do anything else, people present caught him and beat him up, he said.
According to PTI, the SHO said the 39-year-old accused Jakhar had alleged that the MLA was harassing his wife, so he did it out of anger. He said that the accused has been arrested for disturbing the peace.
