Chandigarh: After almost a month-long assembly election campaign in Haryana, the voters of the state will cast their mandate today (Saturday). The state’s 2.3 million voters will elect 90 MLAs out of 1,031 candidates. Voting will start from 7 am and people standing in queues will be able to vote till 6 pm. All the preparations for the voting in 90 assembly constituencies of the state have been completed. The polling parties have reached the polling stations. There are 930 male and 101 female candidates in the Haryana Assembly elections. 462 candidates are independent. In the 2019 assembly elections, there was 67.74 percent voting. This time the Election Commission has set a target of 75% voting. 20632 polling stations have been set up in the state, where there will be tight security arrangements.
225 companies deployed for security
27 thousand 866 EVMs (Ballet Unit) including reserve EVMs will be used for the elections. Along with this, 24 thousand 719 control units and 26 thousand 774 VVPAT machines will be used. From the security point of view, 225 companies of the Central Armed Police Force will take command. Flying Squads 500 and 461 State Surveillance Teams have also been deployed. Haryana election results will be out on October 8. While the BJP is expected to score a hat-trick in the Haryana assembly elections, the Congress is hoping to return to power in the state after 10 years.

Haryana’s incumbent Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is contesting from the Ladwa seat, while veteran Congress leader and two-time Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hoodagarhi is contesting from the Sampla Kaloi seat. Other Most Discussed Haryana Seats These include wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s Jolana and BJP leader Anil Vij’s Ambala cantt seat. Apart from this, Aarti Rao, daughter of Modi government minister Rao Inderjit Singh, is contesting the election from Attlee. In such a situation, all eyes are fixed on this set. Savitri Jindal, mother of BJP MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal, is contesting from Hisar seat. For this reason this set is also under discussion. Apart from this, the Toshamaki set is among the other popular sets. It is understood that there is a fierce competition between Bansilal’s family members. In Ochna, former IAS and MP Brijender Singh and former Haryana Deputy CM Dushant Chautala are in the fray.
