Ready to cooperate.
Vikas Divyakarti said that we do not know the families of the children directly, but we are with them completely in this hour of sorrow. If we can do anything for them in any way, we would be grateful. Divyakarti said that the anger that is being seen among the students over the incident is completely justified. It would be great if this anger finds a right direction and the government implements clear guidelines for coaching institutes. We look forward to active cooperation with the government in this regard.
Mentioned the contradiction in the rules.
Vikas Divyakarti said that this issue related to coaching institutes is not as simple as it appears on the surface. There are many aspects to it which are connected with the ambiguities and inconsistencies of the laws. There is a conflict between the rules of DDA, MCD and Delhi Fire Department. Similarly, there is a lot of inconsistency in the provisions of ‘Delhi Master Plan-2021’, ‘National Building Code’, ‘Delhi Fire Rules’ and ‘Unified Building Bylaws’.
He said that apart from the ‘Delhi Master Plan-2021’, no clear provision for coaching institutes has been made in any document. It is hoped that when the committee appointed by the Union Home Ministry submits its report in a month, most of the above points will be resolved.
Vigilant about the safety of students
Vikas Divyakarti said that we can say with full confidence that the Drashti team is very careful about the safety of the students. He said that the buildings where our classrooms are located have at least two ways of entry and exit so that children can get out safely in case of any emergency. Vikas Divyakarti said that the comprehensive action taken by the Delhi Municipal Corporation in the last few days is welcome.
