Student protesters will not back down despite the Supreme Court reducing quota in government jobs.

After weeks of widespread unrest in Bangladesh, the Supreme Court has changed the controversial quota system for government jobs.

This has substantially reduced the share of public sector positions reserved for family members of war veterans.

But despite this decision, it seems that the protests are not over yet. Initially led by students, the protests have now been joined by people upset with rising inflation and high food prices.

Dozens of student leaders, activists and opposition politicians have been arrested.

With soldiers on the streets, a nationwide curfew imposed and communications blackout, calls for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to be held accountable are growing.

So will quota reforms be enough to restore peace?
