This came a day later when the opposition created an uproar in the Bihar Legislative Assembly on the Waqf Amendment Bill.
The opposition raised slogans, called for the return of the bill and the complete implementation of the recommendations of the Sachar Committee, which highlighted the poor socio-economic conditions of Muslims.
The Waqf (Amendment) bill is yet to be introduced in the Lok Sabha, which promotes another clash between the government and the opposition, as most opposition parties remain against the law. The cabinet has approved the proposed amendments, which include recent recommendations from the parliamentary panel, which can be prepared to discuss and pass the bill.
