Those interested in politics have their eyes fixed on Jharkhand. In fact, assembly elections are going to be held in the state after a few months. Former CM Champai Soren is now leaving JMM and joining BJP. Lubinhambram is also waiting for the green signal to join the BJP. In such a situation, former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha can form a new party before the elections. Interestingly, the party may be named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Atal Suchar Manch to be formed soon: Jayant Sinha

According to information, the proposal to form a new party was discussed during a meeting with supporters in Hazaribagh on Sunday evening. Before leaving for Delhi on Monday, Jayant Sinha said, “A final decision on the formation of the Atal Suchar Manch (AVM) will be taken soon after consultation with various sections of the society.”

Discussion on the proposal in the meeting

Sunday’s meeting was chaired by Surendra Kumar Sinha, a former member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) executive. He (Surendra) has been the representative (MP) of former BJP Member of Parliament Jayant Sinha. The meeting was attended by supporters of both Jayant and his father Yashwant Sinha. It was in this meeting that the proposal to form a new party was considered.

Yashwant Sinha, a cabinet minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, won the Hazaribagh Lok Sabha seat in 1998, 1999 and 2009. In the 2004 elections, he lost to Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate Bhuvneshwar Mehta. In the year 2014, BJP had given ticket to Yashwant Sinha’s elder son Jayant Sinha from Hazaribagh seat. However, in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Manish Jaiswal was given the ticket in place of Jayant Sinha and Jaiswal won by a margin of 2.76 lakh votes.
